Below are services offered by the District Resource Centre (DRC)
Since the completion of the library automation systems, District Resource Centre personnel continue to up-date the database for each site as new resources are purchased. All of the new library resources purchased for all but two secondary schools are catalogued and processed in the District Resource Centre.
Approximately 15,000 new resources are catalogued and processed for school libraries each year.In addition, support and training for the automated libraries is offered through the District Resource Centre.
The DRC has two methods for binding materials: coil (cerlox) and Fast Back. Materials are paid for out of school budgets.
Binding requests must be accompanied by a service requisition signed by the Principal.
Everything from posters to book covers are laminated on a regular basis. Approximately 700 to 1,000 feet of laminating is produced monthly. The cost of laminating is billed to the individual school account.
