Registration, Routing and Bus Passes

Parents may register their child using a home address and an alternate address providing the alternate is due to parental custody or elementary student daycare needs only. The Transportation Department will not offer busing to students going home with other students, attending after school events or other after school functions. Bus drivers will have a passenger list to verify registered riders. All students must ride the bus they are assigned to, produce a valid bus pass, and scan on and off their bus each time.

 

Please follow the registration process below:

 

1) FORM SUBMISSION:

  • REGISTRATION FORMS will only be required for new students and Kindergarten students.
  • CHANGE FORMS will be required for changing schools (ie Grade 7 to 8) and all address, medical or contact information changes
  • NO ANNUAL REGISTRATION NECESSARY for current registered riders with no changes.
  • IF YOU NO LONGER REQUIRE BUSING SERVICES please email the office at busregistration@sd79.bc.ca

Please submit all forms by email to busregistration@sd79.bc.ca, by fax to 250-748-2132 or in person at 2557 Beverly Street, Duncan BC V9L 6B7 – 8:30am to 4:30pm.  We require 3 days to process forms during the school year.

 

2) ROUTES:

Once registered, student’s bus schedules are available through e-link. Routes are setup during the summer months based on registrations received between May 1-31. Bus seats are limited and only registered riders may use the bus service.

 

3) BUS PASS:

A photo bus pass will be printed for each student once ridership has been approved. Passes will be available at your school office the last week of August.  October to June, bus passes will be distributed via the bus driver.
