The Chief Electoral Officer for the Cowichan Valley School District School Trustee election is issuing a correction to the ‘Notice of Election by Voting’ that was published on September 29th (edit: and October 6th) in the Cowichan Valley Citizen (edit: and the Chemainus Valley Courier and Lake Cowichan Gazette).
The notice stated that an advance voting poll would be held at Vancouver Island University (VIU). That information was incorrect and no advance voting took place on October 5th, nor will any take place at VIU on October 11th.
The next advance voting opportunity for electors to vote in the School Trustee Election will be:
8:00 am to 8:00 pm, October 11
North Cowichan Municipal Hall,
7030 Trans-Canada Highway, Duncan, BC.
This error does not have any impact on advance voting opportunities for electors in other areas of the School District.
