Update – May 12, 2020

Today, Dr. Bonnie Henry and Minister Dix, announced 7 new cases in B.C., bringing the total number of cases to 2,360.  The total number of people who have recovered from COVID-19 in B.C. is 1,832. Today, Dr. Bonnie Henry and Minister Dix, announced 23 new cases (9 cases from Saturday/Sunday and 14 cases today) of COVID-19 in B.C., bringing the total number of cases to 2,353.  The total number of people who have recovered from COVID-19 in B.C. is 1,719. Update – May 4, 2020

Today, Provincial Health Officer Dr. Bonnie Henry and Health Minister Adrian Dix announced 53 new cases over two days (34 on Sunday and 19 today) of COVID-19 in B.C., bringing the total number of cases to 2224.  The PHO also shared new modeling on the possible trajectory of the virus in B.C. Today, Premier Horgan and Mike Farnworth, Minister of Public Safety and Solicitor General announced they are using extraordinary powers under a state of provincial emergency to keep British Columbians safe, maintain essential goods and services, and support the Province’s ongoing response to novel coronavirus. They announced a series of ministerial orders to ensure a co-ordinated response to COVID-19 across all levels of government for the duration of the provincial emergency.
