For a second year, BC Hydro invited Energy Ambassador teams to submit applications for the Energy Ambassadors Conservation Grant, to help fund energy conservation projects at their school.
The following schools have been awarded a grant to go towards the energy conservation projects in 2012-2013:
- Chemainus Secondary ($1,500) – Energy efficient hand dryers and motion sensor faucets
- Chemainus Secondary ($1,455) – Power bars with software to power down computer labs
- Quamichan Middle ($1,625) – Occupancy sensors for washrooms and storage rooms
