Bus notice for South End (Frances Kelsey, Mill Bay Nature School, Bench, Discovery, École Cobble Hill and George Bonner) and Lake Cowichan and select other routes. Full details below:
Due to the inclement weather today, our transportation system is not able to support students in the above noted areas. For that reason, buses are cancelled for the day, however, schools will be open. We will continue to monitor the situation as the day unfolds and keep you apprised.
Affected Routes are routes 1-12 and 51 servicing South End schools and Duncan Transfers will not be running, buses 40, 41, 42 servicing Lake Cowichan Schools and Duncan transfers will also not be running. Buses 24 and 27 will not be servicing Glenora Area and buses 28 and 25 will not be servicing Sahtlam.
There may also be localized delays in some areas as buses start to head out to their routes, please monitor your email and /or @transportationSD79 on Twitter for updates.
For drivers, please be aware that students may have to traverse less than ideal conditions to reach their bus stops. Please drive with care and attention on the roads.
Students, please walk with care near roads and stand back while waiting at your bus stops.
