Corona Virus Update
With all the recent coverage of the Coronavirus, the Ministry of Education has prepared the following information for any concerned parents or community members:

The BC Centre for Disease Control (BCCDC) and provincial and federal authorities are closely monitoring the outbreak of respiratory illness linked to a novel coronavirus.
The overall risk to B.C. travelers and to British Columbia remains low.
Three international airports in Canada, including YVR are now putting in additional measures for assessment for those travelling from China.
To date, there have been no cases of illness caused by the coronavirus in British Columbia.
The BC Centre for Disease Control have also developed a diagnostic test for the new coronavirus. They are coordinating staff and supplies to ensure they are prepared to quickly and accurately detect potential cases.
The Government of BC will continue to closely monitor the situation.
